Electroliner #163 Super Daytona Yellow
Electroliner #163 Super Daytona Yellow
Welcome to the bizaro-universe. Matt our resident shredder has been on us for the last couple years about building an Electroliner with a Vegatrem VT1. What better way than to pay homage to the origins of the Super S: a hot rodded old s-type, beat, played, modded, reworked, reimagined and ready to rock. The VT1 is incredibly rad, has an extreme amount of both dive and pull, returns to pitch perfectly, feels amazing. Like you just pulled it out from under grandpa’s bed. We’re sold!
Finished off with our new Seymour Duncan custom shop, MJ wound Kauer+ humbuckers. Just enough heat to be their own thing with out any sacrifice of the clarity and tonal balance we demand. Paired with an SSL-6 in the middle and coil split (tone pot push/push) gives you killer s-tones and humbucker oomph when you want it.
We’ve also set this one up sans string tree but can be added on request.
Specs:
Old Growth Pine body
25.5” scale Wenge fretboard / Roasted Maple neck
Vegatrem VT1, Hipshot locking tuners
Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Kauer+, SSL-6, Kauer+ w/coil split
8lbs 2oz
One note about our satin finish: we have the best satin clear on the market. We love this finish, it feels every bit as good as an oil finished neck but with out the gum or upkeep. Incredibly organic and is thinner than the actual color layer. These weathered series have the absolute thinnest finishes that can be sprayed.
