There’s been a tone that’s hankered in my head for nearly twenty years. Before Johnny Winter became famous for playing that other winged guitar that inspired Banshee, he played a Fender Xii strung with just the normal 6 strings and his tone was insane.
So I happened to ask our friends at Lollar if they ever did F-Xii pickups and turns out it was an off menu request and boy did they not disappoint.
Similar to Mustang pickups these Xii’s do everything great we want from an s-type but with more flair. Oh and because they are split coils, you can really EQ each pickup’s balance exactly how you want.
